Career History

1999-2022 - Freelance cello teacher. Since starting at the Royal Northern College of Music in 1999 I have taught adult and young students in both group and one to one contexts as well as coaching on chamber music and orchestral courses.

2003-2022 - Freelance cellist, arranging, recording and performing across the country and further afield with established artists and ensembles including: the Kavolini String Quartet, the Joe Ringer Band, Ensemble East, the Aurora Chamber Orchestra, The Henry Brothers, The Vagaband, the Norwich Pops Orchestra, Russel Macnamara, Graham Hart, WaXeD and Dumbfoundus. I also have a solo album of classical cello quartets, and am currently recording my second to include Kol Nidrei by Max Bruch, Elegie by Faure and many more.

2003-2022 - Peripatetic cello teacher for the Norfolk Music Service part of the Norfolk County Council's children's services. I plan and deliver lessons in one to one and small group contexts.

2014-2022 - Suzuki cello teacher, Since completing Suzuki teacher training level 1 -4 in July 2018 I have been an active Suzuki teacher with pupils from age 4 to adult.

2009-2022 - Feral Mouth String Band, a Country/Americana/Nugrass band who have performed at venues and festivals across the country including Boom Town, Secret Garden Party, Latitude, and released 2 full length albums and 1 EP.  

2006-2018 - Frost & Mudd, a soulful and gentle acoustic duo with cello, acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies. My old friend James wrote, arranged and and performed together for over 12 years. Our 3rd release, 'cello songs' I engineered and recorded in my home studio.
